Wouldn't this be a good, classic ticket for the Democratic Party in 2020? Two young white male senators who are the future of the country against a 74-year old wealthy Republican nationalist president in Donald Trump? What's the pros and cons of this ticket?

Al Franken, Ron Wyden, Gavin Newsom, or even one of the Castro brothers would all be better than Chris Murphy.

Heinrich would be a great candidate, but I don't think Murphy is the best VP choice. I would recommend Franken, Klobuchar, Peters,  Brown, Stabenow, or Gillibrand for that role.

Heinrich could be a great candidate, though I doubt he'd get through the primaries. But for VP, add Harris and he'll most probably win.

Fun fact: Google either "Chris Murphy 2020" or "Martin Heinrich 2020", and you get this forum as the top search result.

Might be tempted to cross party lines and vote for my own last name here...

I don't see Heinrich at the top of a ticket any time soon. As a running mate though I think it could be very possible.

Yeah, sure I'd love to have them running. Won't even come close to winning the general.

Women may like them. Young, handsome, white males. They could be appealing, like a Clinton/Gore '92/'96. You need reformist, but centrist-leaning candidates.

The hair ruins it for me with Murphy. But Heinrich is an absolute stud.

There must be more to the 2020 election than being really, really, ridiculously good looking.
