Back in the day, both Newsweek and Time would do a bunch of deep reporting inside the campaigns, with material that would be released once election day had passed.  And so a couple of days after the election, you'd get these special issues that took you behind the scenes of the entire campaign arc, going back to the primaries.

Do they do anything like that anymore?  Has anything like that come out yet?

     The closest I've seen to something you're describing (though probably still way off) was NPR interviewing a Republican operative who was describing the phone banking operation they were operating to GOTV in Michigan and how they were flying under the radar as far as ground game went.
