Watching all these losers come kiss The Donald's ring is amazing. Does Cruz have any dignity at all?

i totally agree.

and i don't understand it, if true.

why should he leave his safe spot in the senate to get a position at which trump could literally sack him all the time?

I think the one thing we can all agree on is that the answer to your question is a resounding "no." Tongue

It is nice to see that Rand Paul is starting to act like Rand Paul again. Another great consequence of the Trumpening!

Good for Rand. If only he was like this during the campaign, I'd much prefer him to what we're currently stuck with.

Eh, the two are totally different animals, but yes, I'd accept either situation. I think I'd prefer an imperfect Trump to an imperfect Paul if only because the bar is lower.

What is so wrong with sitting down with Putin? I think we need Putin more than ever right now. I want good relations with the world's other major nuclear superpower. I don't see how that is so controversial.

there is nothing wrong in general with that wish, which is why i have supported obama in 2012 regarding this question and approved of his snarky answer to romney....in hindsight a severe miscalculation.

unfortunately it is my sincere belief, that ...since mister putin's return as president in 2012.... russia became a kind of neo-imperial empire, trying to dominate the states of the former soviet union directly and and - at the same time - topple goverments (through means of money/media/proxy fringe parties) which disapprove of that goal.

since europe is ground zero and moscow is promoting an illiberal model which is, imho, the opposite of the American Dream, i - like many other europeans - look to washington as the only possible global counterweight. however you judge mister trump's connections with moscow, the addition of mister flynn isn't helping in that regard at all.

as an american ofc you don't need to care about our european feelings or needs at all, even while i - as an US citizen - would still be baffled about the possible influence of the FSB during the election. Wink

One of the biggest foreign policy lies on the left is that when Obama said that, Putin was not in charge. Putin has been in charge, unofficially or officially, since December 31, 1999. I know the Facebook left wingers have tried to doublespeak past this. Medvedev is not a pro-American/pro-West, despite left-wing revisionism. Medvedev is a dangerous, Putinist puppet. It is an indisputable fact that Russia has been on the rise since 2000. Romney was absolutely, 100% right on this in 2012.

Huckabee loves the kiddy fiddler Duggar and once admitted that he desperately wants to gawk at teenage girls undressing. A perfect match for Trump's values, sure, but are  you sure you want that inflicted on society?

What?

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/06/02/politics/mike-huckabee-transgender-caitlyn-jenner/

Huck is a perv and a creep.

Come on...he didn't say at all what you are making it sound like he said.  Read past the headline.

he basically said that he would have jumped at the chance to creep on teenage girls if he thought he could get away with it. That's not natural, and is a sign he is a degenerate creep. Combined with the fact that he thinks Duggar is a nice guy, FF; it paints a very suspicious portrait of the supposedly "moral" Huckabee.

He said that he would have wanted to shower with the girls when he was in high school.  He is clearly not talking about himself now.  Plus, he was making a joke, something liberals must not get.
[/quote]

Was his endorsement of slavery a joke too?

I could possibly see Sessions getting blocked (depends on the make up of the Judiciary Committee), Pompeo probably gets through relatively easy, and Flynn doesn't need to be confirmed.

I've got some money on Talent, but gosh who honestly knows other than Donald Trump. This is so volatile, new names are added every day.

I wouldn't say that.  He's a sitting US Senator, so the people who are voting on his confirmation are people who know him personally.  So it's entirely possible that he gets through on that basis alone.  That wouldn't necessarily imply smooth sailing for other controversial nominees who don't have the benefit of being sitting Senators.
