Probably 1956, but according to the average person, probably 2008.

I wonder if there is anyone who likes both Clinton and Trump.
I'd say 1976 in spite of some of Bob (then Robert) Dole's attacks on Jimmy Carter, and especially considering the post-Watergate/Vietnam funk the country was in, both candidates were fairly decent.

According to CNN only 2% had a favorable view of both Clinton and Trump. So 98% of voters went into the election with an unfavorable view of one or both major candidates.
