Now, the story is all about "Clinton's bizarre day"...

http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/28/politics/hillary-clinton-anthony-weiner/index.html

The original story was the worst between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM yesterday, a time when most voters are not paying attention to the news.

By the time it was time for most people to read or watch the news, the story became about Wiener, and then Comey.

Now, the story focuses on how Clinton brushed off this meaningless news and bounces back Saturday, less than one day after the news emerged.

CNN and MSNBC start this hour's news coverage with "emails coming back to haunt Clinton"

Its Saturday, they have nothing else to talk about.

and given that they will keep talking about it all weekend ( including on all Sunday Morning shows) and will likely roll into at least Monday.

If it will keep on rolling somewhere, it'll be on the Mississippi river. It'll get drown out somewhere around the delta of New Orleans.

When all is said and done, the extra coverage of the e-mail topic will help serve to discredit the original purpose of the e-mail investigation, and highlight how trivial the entire e-mail controversy actually was.

This story brings up freaking emails.
This story makes us to discuss this instead of Trump touching someone's ass.
This story brings Trump's-comeback narrative.

At least. Hopefully, FBI will find somewhat serious.

Even if they won't it will be worth 2-3% margin decrease. From C+5-6 to C+2-4.

I don't Clinton will lose anything significant from the news...at most, she may slide 1% in the 2-way and 4-way polls, to a margin of +4 to 5%.

Now, more than ever, is the time to go out and vote like never before and bring friends along. Volunteer; knock on doors; phone bank. We will pull through from this ridiculousness in the end.

ABC poll (taken prior to yesterday) had the margin cut in half due to Clinton's softer supporters figuring they don't need to vote because she can win without them--so she may very well get a bump if this happens.

fun fact again......weiner and chaffetz have been friends in 2011...

Now, the bonds of friendship between Representative Anthony Weiner, a New York Democrat, and Representative Jason Chaffetz, his Republican colleague, cannot be torn asunder, not by affrays over health care and the so-called death tax nor ribbing from their respective party mates, who wonder why each hangs out with “that guy.”

Last week, the two wrote an opinion article for The Wall Street Journal calling for the end of federal subsidies to the United States Institute of Peace in Washington. On Thursday, Mr. Weiner offered an amendment to a short-term spending bill, supported by “the gentleman from Utah,” to end federal financing for the policy institute. It passed.

Along with their continued joint quest to end the practice of federal aid for those who harvest mohair, something they both feel strongly about, the two plan to attack other agriculture subsidies, and to work on legislation concerning privacy issues.

While bipartisanship is about as prevalent as Lassa fever on the floor of the House right now, Mr. Weiner and Mr. Chaffetz are an example of the sort of relationship that can form around a single issue or two, especially if it is fiscal in nature, and be sustained through a dose of humor.

“If we as progressives want to be taken seriously on budget matters,” Mr. Weiner said, “we have to show that we don’t like waste either. We can’t let the Republicans own that.”

There is no evidence for that.

I still don't get the hoo-hah about the private server in the first place... it's not like the US government has exactly been brilliant at information security in the last few years.

The two are not mutually exclusive. I consider using a private server more damning, since it's a carelessness on the candidate's part.
