He's close to even in three tracking polls (which are junk), he gained 3 points in a few days in the ABC tracking poll. Bloomberg shows him up 2 points in Florida. Remington battleground and state polls show him within the margin of error of an electoral win. Has the comeback narrative begun?

I understand people getting annoyed. But we have seen this play out so many times this year. Trump does something bad, media focuses on it for a week, his poll numbers crater. Than in a few weeks, Trump isn't acting crazy, and his poll numbers inch up and the race tightens. I don't think its unreasonable to think that this race will tighten substantially, if trump can keep his s*** together.

Trump hasn't been acting crazy lately? If people no longer believe threatening our democratic process daily and making unsubstantiated claims about some sinister conspiracy is no longer crazy, then our country is completely screwed.

Clearly. The media desperately wants a Trump victory. In a week or so it'll be tied, and he'll have pulled ahead by election day.

Just to return, bed-wetting over nothing like this is why progressives can't have nice things.

It seems like only yesterday that we got a poll showing Clinton up 12 nationwide, and another poll showing her up 7 in North Carolina.  Oh wait, it was yesterday.

It's been nothing but bad headlines for Clinton since the end of the 3rd debate.  I am not surprised.

Really? It was all about Trump not accepting the election and then discussions about how big the landslide is going to be. Only thing bad was the Obamacare numbers from yesterday.

If think if he does make a comeback, the new narrative would be that people are living longer and as long as there are young minority upstarts, the median voter will always be voting in reaction to them. Trump's bid at reelection will be at showering his clients with gifts such as high commodity prices that keeps jobs and contracts rolling in ala Bush.

Right now the polls are just trying to decide whether or not its going to be a clinton landslide or a 2012 like election, it seems like a lot of the disappointment has been that she isn't winning in a landslide, interesting what a month or two can do.

Not at all. He's been finished for awhile now and a week is hardly enough time to stage s comeback.

it is not if those voters really didn't plan anymore to pull the lever for him.

maybe many of them are going to "forget" his scandals until election day.

shows again how little trump has to do to stay competetive and how much work others must put into such a campaign.

the death of capitalism. Wink

Yes, the odds are receding that Trump will lose by a double digit margin.

I don't think its unreasonable to think that this race will tighten substantially, if trump can keep his s*** together.

This is what I was saying when I posted that WaPo image on the media trends. It showed Hillary peaking like 5~ days ago and already starting to come down. Unless a new Trump scandal emerges that is spicy enough to capture the attention of the ADHD media, then they will talk less about Trump and more about Clinton, assuming Wikileaks keeps up.

This race far, far from normal. There is far too much red meat for the media in terms of "scandals" or damaging emails or whatever, that it's causing larger ups and downs in the polling/media cycles.

However, not to say she won't win at this rate. Barring a total, massive collapse, she will still win (very) comfortably.

Low:
2012+NC-OH-IA

High:
2012+NC+AZ (maybe GA, and maybe Utah McMuffin)

That's your range of possible outcomes at this point.  Let's stop this silly talk of Trump victories or Hillary landslides.  Thirteen days left, early voting underway.  There's no time for changing of minds.
