IT’S TIME FOR THE WAR!

This time the French bastard came way too far.

From: BBC World

Blair sidesteps French food fight

Tony Blair has refused to be drawn into a diplomatic row after the French president reportedly made insulting remarks about British food. Jacques CHIRAC JOKED WITH GERMAN AND RUSSIAN LEADERS: "One cannot trust people whose cuisine is so bad."

MR CHIRAC ALSO REPORTEDLY SAID BRITAIN HAD WORST FOOD AFTER FINLAND”

Bastard!!!!!! Why hell he interferes to OUR FOOD in this point. What hell my people has ever done to French? This really shows how arrogant and stupid French are. I wouldn't mind if you nuked Paris tomorrow. Wink

Even this wouldn’t be enough.....About two weeks ago...

Berlusconi rubs salt in Finnish wound at food body

"PARMA, Italy (Reuters) - Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi repeated one of his most famous diplomatic gaffes on Tuesday by insulting the cuisine of Finland which Italy beat to host the new European Food Safety Authority. "I've been to Finland and I had to endure the Finnish diet so I am in a position to make a comparison," Berlusconi told local dignitaries ahead of the inauguration of the EFSA in the northern Italian town of Parma.

The 68-year-old media tycoon also said he had used his masculine charm to persuade Finland's president, Tarja Halonen, to give up her country's claim to host the European Union agency. "I had to use all my PLAYBOY TACTICS, even if they have not been used for some time," said Berlusconi. At the opening ceremony later in the day, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso would have the chance to sample Parma's famous smoked ham, Berlusconi said, and see for himself that it was better than traditional Finnish food."

I can tell you that an atmosphere in Finland is very anti-French and anti-Italian right now. Wink In the weekend after Berlusconi’s intult the most asked number in the phone number service was Berlusconi’s. Smiley

Fortunately our ministry for foreign affairs officially reacted for comments of both head of states by asking their  ambassadors to the "discussions" Smiley

I can promise that I won’t drink French or Italian wine within a few months. Smiley

I find it hard to believe that there is any person unaware that French food is far superior to British.

Huck-drink Aussie wine and eat modern Australian cuisine-the best bits of our extensive asian and southern european immigration; plus a little bit of the old British influence and a little bit of the american. Add a fair dwollop of uniqueness, lots of cheap, good quality fresh produce; and it's pretty good, usually.

Since when do we use the words "British" and "cuisine" together?

What is British cuisine, anyway?  Fish and chips?  This is an honest question.

Italian. Also Deep Southern US, btw. Yes, and French too of course.
I've never tasted it, but it's said to be quite pleasant. Unlike snails. Which I did taste once. Not that good. But better than shrimps or mussles.

Actually, snalis is quite a traditional portuguese snack, though we use the tiny ones, while the french use the big ones.

Yeah, that's what you do when all of the ingredients taste bad and you have no spices. Cook it all together and hope they neutralize. Tongue

Shall it be served in a coal-miner lunch bucket?

It was orginally. Not that there's anything strange or amusing about that. Same goes for a lot of similer traditional food.

Care to give any examples?  I honestly don't really know what British cuisine is.

Too right, he did. Still, at least, London won the right to host the 30th Olympiad. Still, you can look forward to seeing Le Worm's approval ratings sub 20% Smiley
