Imagining that a. voting is compulsory and b. votes only count if you give all candidates a preference (i.e. like Australia)...

1. Johnson
2. Stein
3. Clinton
4. Castle
5. McMullin

Strategically (trying to stop a Clinton presidency at all costs):
Trump
McMullin
Castle
Johnson
Stein
Clinton

Real order of preference:
McMullin
Castle
Trump
Johnson
Clinton
Stein

1. Johnson
2. McMullin (qualified write-in in CA)
3. De La Fuente (qualified write-in in CA)
4. Castle (qualified write-in in CA)
5. Stein
6. Trump
7. Clinton
8. La Riva

Official qualified write-ins aren't finalized in CA yet so I might stick in a few more above Trump and Clinton if the ones that turn up on that list aren't terrible.

Why Trump over McMullin?

McMullin is a neo-con and one of the architects of Bush's foreign policy, and I'm definitely not a fan of that.  I will say that McMullin has better character than Trump, so perhaps I'd invert those two, but I am very confident with Castle as #1.

I don't think Castle is actually qualified in California; he has far fewer electors than the 55 required.

3. Johnson
4. Stein
5. De La Fuente
6. McMullin
7. Any combination of syllables not involving "Obama" or "Clinton"
