I'd vote for McMuffin in Utah, just to see Trump lose the state.

If you were an actual Utah voter that wanted Clinton to win though, letting McMullin win, and in the event she's short of 270, lets the House vote for President, and they'll probably vote Trump.

They would vote McMullin/Kaine

The Senate polling is pretty good at well, especially after accounting for their bias.

McMullin charge in Utah? Just amazing.

Offend Mormon sensibilities, and lose Utah, even if you are a Republican.

It is Emerson, but this is fantastic news for McMullin. This will continue the feedback loop as mentioned.

President McMullin, please!  (I'm still strategically voting for Trump)

Not a pollster I'd put a lot of stock in; but a pollster finally showing McMullin ahead in Utah is bound to generate a lot of press in the state and get some more name recognition for them there.  Positive feedback loop for McMullin in the state!  Excellent news!

It seems that in 538, the large favorability towards trump winning Utah is because of the YouGov poll taken from Oct 12-14.
It shows a trump +17 (adjusted +15), and 538 has "weighed" it considerably heavy/high.
Otherwise, Utah would be a toss-up 3-way battle between trump, Clinton and McMullin.

Which is ridiculous. YouGov deliberately lowered McMullin's numbers by not including him in the question or the answer, you had to choose "other" first.

Yeah, it was a BS poll.

This may be the first post-labor day state poll showing a third-party/independent candidate leading in a state since 1968. Let that sink in for a second.

1992?

After some searching, I can't find any state polls from 1992, not to mention the fact that Perot's support was significantly lower after he returned to the race in the fall. There's a chance a Maine poll would have had him up, but I don't think one was ever conducted.

Junk pollster or not, these polls give McMuffin the free media publicity he needs to to solidify his numbers in Utah.

I am wondering though if he will carry any counties in the Mormon part of southern Idaho.

I'd guarantee that he'll get some counties in Idaho. Madison County for sure (contains Rexburg, home of BYU-Idaho).

My prediction:
