I'm convinced that there's literally nothing abusive or disgusting that Trump could've done that'd turn off the 40% of Americans who'll support him no matter what. They should definitely wait a bit to release them. This one story is going to dominate the news cycle for at least one more week, possibly 2 depending on how the debate goes. Unloading everything now would be pointless, it would just be drowned in the noise.

Keep in mind that he's talking to republicans, if republicans had anything, why didn't they use it in the primaries? This new stuff is all coming from democratic oppo dump and the clinton camp, which means they probably have no idea if there is anything else in the first place, let alone what it might be.

I'm not convinced it was Clinton behind the hot mic. Seltzer on CNN said it started with the AP report a couple of weeks ago about people on The Apprentice saying Trump was lewd on set, then a producer on Access Hollywood remembered the bus thing and searched the archive and found the tape, but Access Hollywood higher ups were sitting on it, apparently planning on doing something with it but not before the debate and so someone inside Access leaked it to the WaPo. Bear in mind AH is NBC and Billy Bush is a big part of NBC, just moved to the Today Show. So its seems there were internal politics at NBC holding this up and someone inside decided they didn't trust their bosses to do the right thing. 

The bigger question is all the tape from The Apprentice. Imagine how much hot mic Trump they have. That is all with Burnett Productions. You can be certain there are career ending gems there but will they ever get out?
