http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2016/10/05/trumps-october-surprise-it-could-be-his-2015-tax-return/

Presumably the tax return, if it indeed emerges, will be (legally) 'massaged' as much as possible, so as to show that Trump (a) is incredibly rich, and (b) pays a whole lotta federal income tax, and (c) gives a small fortune to charity.

This is the one that would have been prepared while he was already running for President, and thus presumably will try to look as good as possible.  Better than nothing, though, I guess.

Possible, but that would require foresight.

If it isn't years and years of returns, it doesn't count.  Hillary released, what, 40 years worth of returns?

She's released tax returns going back to the 80s at some point in her political life, but the pre-2000 returns are difficult to locate nowadays.

What could be in the return that really surprises anyone at this point? If I were him, I would not release it.

I don't understand this post. If you believe there is nothing in it that would surprise anyone, why NOT release them? I think the opposite. In some ways, I think it's brilliant of him to release them. Frankly, even if there's something controversial in them, he'll just lie about it anyway, and few will understand the issue, especially those considering voting for him.
