Long term or short term? Short term, we probably get the Senate this year and lose it in 2018. Long-term, for the House:

I've been leaning nicely towards 2022, and not necessarily because of redistricting. By 2022, +6 years of heavily Republican silent generation/older voters will have died off, and that is a large part of the GOP's midterm advantage. As stated before, Republicans don't have an advantage with old people in general but more of an advantage with current generation(s) of old people. After all, before Clinton, the presidential/midterm trend was essentially reversed. This dynamic tends to oscillate between the parties as certain generations of voters rise and fall.

"A house"? 2016.

If the Democrats don't win the Senate this year, but Clinton still wins, it will probably happen in the 2020s.

If Trump wins, then I could see the Democrats retaking the House in 2018, but probably not the Senate until 2020.

Senate: 2016
House: 2022. That's when the current districting ends, right?
