Let's say donald Trump wins by the slimmest of margins in the electoral and popular vote.  Would the disenfranchisement of thousands of people thanks to draconian voter ID laws be enough to tip the difference?  There are a lot of Republican attorney generals out there who would jump at the chance to fabricate results if they thought it was close enough that they could get away with it.  It seems to be the only way that he could overcome his otherwise insurmountable disapproval numbers.

Probably not.

Most likely shy Trump effect.

It's always a possibility but I don't think they're as likely to rig things in his favor as they would be for someone like George W. Bush.

I do think he has real shot at winning this thing outright at this point though, god help us all.

If we define rigging as not allowing illegal voting, then yes.

If he wins a state like IL, sure but there is a clear path for Trump to win this.

I'd be more concerned about Russian manipulation than Republican AGs. The Russians benefit far more from a Trump presidency than the GOP does.

Is it because Russia is our biggest geo-political rival that there's so much concern about Trump's affinity towards Putin?

No. In fact several of those laws have been blocked by federal judges.

I could potentially see a shy Trump effect adding maybe a percent or so. Not sure if that would be enough to push him over or not.

No.

You're alleging a mass conspiracy by Republicans across the country to forge election data, without a shred of evidence. Considering I rather doubt said officials in this conspiracy would reveal such diabolical plans to a random person on an internet forum, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is an outright lie of tin-foil hat proportions.

For one, his levels are equal to Clinton's now, so if this is a major crux of your position, where is the thread for Clinton stealing the election? Next, if his approval numbers are such an issue to prohibit a victory, how in the world is he already at 265 electoral votes with the current polling numbers? He only has to win Wisconsin or Maine at large plus New Hampshire to seal the deal at this point.

I could potentially see a shy Trump effect adding maybe a percent or so. Not sure if that would be enough to push him over or not.

If he can just increase his margin by another 1.5% (You've suggested Shy Trump can bring in another point, so he would just need another 0.5%), he's won this election as that amount would flip him Wisconsin and Maine at large as well as secure all of the Romney 2012 states.

Would be very, very difficult to rig this election for either candidate. Reid Wilson looked into this, and you can follow his argument here: https://twitter.com/PoliticsReid/status/775315265844195328

No, there is no voter fraud to a larger extend in the United States.

No, it's because Putin is a dictator who has no respect for human rights and who's already rigged elections at home.
