Marco must have buttered him up real nicely to make this tool cross over to the dark side. Sad!

I thought he was a libertarian-leaning liberal Democrat?  Why would he try to advise Republicans?

Silver has always been a libertarian moderate hero of some sorts, and he has an economics background so it isn't too surprising. He also voted for Kasich in the NY Republican primary to prove it.

But lol at this meeting, they could've just gone to his website and opened up the general election model to get the same amount of information.

Yeah, this is a big whatever.  I doubt Silver was giving any sort of special, unpublished knowledge.  It's a donor conference.  Donors love the idea that they're "in the know," and bringing someone like Nate Silver in -- even just to repeat statements he's made in public -- is a popular option at these things.  As far as I know, Silver isn't a consultant who withholds information for proprietary use, so this is a big nothing unless you believe in a blanket prohibition against bringing comfort to the "enemy" or something.

There's nothing wrong with making money through your road show.  (And BRTD, you're ridiculous.)

Sellout of what?  He publishes his analysis and predictions publicly.  He's a public intellectual.  This was obviously an org bringing in a known public intellectual to repeat the stuff he says in public publications and do an FAQ.  He's not a partisan-affiliated consultant or something, and even if he were, if he's not bringing proprietary info to the table, who cares?.
