Projected winners in Mexico City and the gubernatorial races El Financiero

Guanajuato: David Sinhué (PAN)

Jalisco: Enrique Alfaro (MC)

Chiapas: Rutilio Escandón (MORENA)

Morelos: Cuahtémoc Blanco (MORENA)

Tabasco: Adán Augusto López (MORENA)

Puebla: PAN and MORENA are tied

Veracruz: MORENA and Veracrúz al Frente tie

Yucatán: PAN-MC and PRI-PVEM tie

PRI loses all races in case Yucatán falls to the PAN led alliance

I think they have Puebla as neck-to-neck and not for MORENA (at least the El Financiero one that is)

Looks like turnout is a good deal higher than PREP expected so PREP will report results at a later schedule then they expect.  Overall this is good news for AMLO since this is most likely part of an anti-incumbent surge.

Mitofsky exit poll has MORENA winning Veracruz.  Very good news for AMLO and the AMLO bloc winning a majority in Congress.

Jalisco exit poll.  Disaster for PRI.  Looks like a lot of the PRI vote went to MORENA or MC (to stop MORENA)

The votes shares in the governor races point to one fact: Complete PRI collapse.
I think Meade might be lucky to cross 20% going on these numbers.  AMLO will have a chance to cross 50%.

Looks like PAN is claiming victory in Puebla.  Most likely does not mean anything.  Parties always claim victory if they are within striking distance.

More clear Chiapas exit polls.  PVEM neck-to-neck with PRI for second.  MORENA way way ahead.

I am watching coverage on Telemundo. No English subtitles available.  No coverage apparently on CSPAN either. Dang! ! !

I am watching the  EL UNIVERSAL livestream.  My Spanish is pretty bad so I only understand around 2/3 of what they are saying.

My listening Spanish is very bad. I can pick up about a third of the written subtitles. Not too bad once they start showing vote totals on screen. Gosh  wouldn't you think they'd have made English subtitling available? Lots of interest here and elsewhere.

AMLO advisers Alfonso Romo and Tatiana Clouthier are very confident. "The rice is burning" says Clouthier.

Probably the gubernatorial races in Veracruz, Puebla and Yucatán will be more exciting

I read earlier that  Tatiana Clouthier voted PAN for one of the races she voted in.   It was for her sister that is running for PAN in a local race.  I guess AMLO would understand.

PAN declares victory in Yucatan.  Again, does not mean much other than PAN could win.

I didn't know that. I'll check it out.

MORENA candidate Miguel Barbosa claims that exit polls give him victory in Puebla.

Previosuly a PAN apokesperson claimed that polls predict they'll win the three states in doubt.

Puebla and Veracruz have PAN and MORENA neck to neck. PAN and PRI are neck-to-neck in Yucatán.

These exit polls shows that AMLO's chances of winning which was something like 98% before the exit polls came out is now at 100%.

Claudia Sheinbaum (born in 1962) will be in all likelihood the first woman to govern the City of Mexico. She describes herself as a "left-wing politician" who is very close to AMLO and likes to follow the parliamentary speeches of Podemos leaders in the Spanish Congress. She advocetes for cultural diversity, defence of native peoples, environmentalism and women's rights

Her rival Alejandra Barrales (PAN-PRD-MC) claims that the race is still open, despite exit polls say otherwise
