I think the top 5 states in which he has the most approval are: Texas, Mississippi, West Virginia, Alabama, and Oklahoma. In that exact order.

Mississippi is disqualified because black people actually exist, and in larger numbers than the rest of those states. I'd say in West Virginia you'd find the least amount of people who don't like him.

I've only ever seen him have a positive favorability score in WV and OK. Even in OK it's very narrow.

The yellow/beige counties are where a plurality of Americans identify their ancestry as "United States" or "American". So WV, KY, TN, and AR are prime Trump territory. OK clocks in at 11% "American" which is will below the other four but well above the national average.
