I want to do an experiment. We all have our own opinions, and we try to demonstrate our reasons via this forum. However, there is only so much that we can explain. I think it would be interesting if we played a game with our views. I've devised the beginnings of a political game in which an individual takes control of a region of the United States and manages it to his or her desire. You can make alliances, war, buildings, build your economy and ultimately influence other players. Below is some more general information in the game.

Prologue:

The year is 2036. Political turmoil has ripped the nation apart. For nearly the past four decades, the country has been divided politically in half. The branches were constantly stalled due to extreme partisan politics. Upset, millions of Americans, both liberal and conservative, joined the Libertarian movement. In an unexpected and unprecedented move, several million of these angry citizens swamped Washington D.C., invaded federal buildings, and in essence overthrew the useless government at its source. The Libertarian Party set up a new, provisional government to supervise the nation. However, this new government was too weak to hold the nation together. In a final attempt to "stabilize" the nation, the government split up the nation into 137 seperate districts.

BTW, I would highly encourage to ponder claiming a territory near people of your own ideology, as when the game gets going you may regret being a Republican territory completely surrounded by Democratic territories.

I'll take district 91. Was a tough choice between that and district 5 - I want sufficient land mass but I wasn't sure if I wanted to be landlocked or not. Guess I'll just invade district 90 down the road. Wink

Name for District - New Georgia

BTW - damn you for saying the LP created a weak government, ya bum. Wink

By the way, when will the game start?

And, we may want our own forum for it - provided by Dave would be nice, but if we have to get our own we could have it stickied here if possible.

132!

(I'm assuming this contains Fort Wayne.  If not, gimme the one that does (and if you don't know where Fort Wayne is, it's in Allen County Wink) Smiley)

I'll call it the Socialist Republic of Roosevelt, abbreviated to Roosevelt (or SR Roosevelt).

Additionally, I made a map showing areas taken & areas under federal tax control:

http://img137.echo.cx/img137/2483/newbiemap9bp.png

I think this'll make it easier to determine which district you want to take.
