Yes, it will be a long night for MO Republicans. I expect Greitens or Hanaway to win for MO GOP Governor's primary. The other races I will look at closely.

The only competitive race I am fairly confident about is Dem Treasurer, which I think Baker will win fairly easily. Carnahan will easily win Dem Lt. Gov and Ashcroft (yuck) will win for GOP Secretary of State. The Governor's and Attorney General races are a total s[Inks]show for the GOP. I don't think Brunner will win and I am somewhat hoping for Greitens to win since he would probably be easiest to beat. Kinder being in last all the way through this primary has definitely been amusing. Dem Attorney General is probably going to be a nail biter, with St. Louis and KC machines going against each other, and in that scenario, the St. Louis machine normally wins, so Zimmerman should come out on top.

Who's the strongest Republican candidate for governor?
Hanaway or Brunner imo. They would both probably start with a 50/50 chance of beating Koster.

And for the general election?

Hard to say, you know, we've had zero polling for the general election because the candidates in so many races have been unsettled. Democrats will probably struggle to hold onto Secretary of State since their recruit isn't super serious, but Ashcroft winning will be seriously depressing. Both Democrats are favored against the loathesome Republicans running for Attorney general imo. And Koster should start out ahead against any of the four GOP candidates for Governor since they have spent the past so many months just destroying each other. It's hard to say for Lt. Gov, but if Bev Randles wins for the GOP, I expect Carnahan to win a landslide.

Why not Greitens?
