Wolf Blizter: Good evening and I'd like to welcome all our viewers from the US and around the world. I'm Wolf Blizter and I will be your host on this election night. Two candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, will be facing off to get to the magic number of 270 electoral votes needed to win and become President of the United States. In addition, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are looking to gain votes tonight and improve their parties national standing. We will be bringing you up to the minute results on the CNN magic wall, along with rolling results as the polls close and projections can be made.

As it stands now at 6:45 pm on the East Coast, we've been getting returns from the state's of Kentucky and Indiana. We will not make a projection until all the polls are closed in those states, which will happen at the top of the hour. Early results suggest Donald Trump is in the lead in Kentucky and maintaining a sizable, though tenuous lead in Indiana. Polls conducted by CNN/ORC over the weekend indicate a solid lead for Secretary Clinton, as she has approximately 46% of voters supporting her. This, compared with Trump maintaining about 38% support. Governor Johnson has about 8% support in our latest survey.

We thank for joining us tonight.

Blizter: It's 7:00 on the East Coast and polls have closed in several states. With those closings, we'll get the first returns of the night and perhaps be able to make some calls.

CNN projects that Donald Trump will win in the state of Kentucky. Hillary Clinton will carry the state of Vermont. In the state of Indiana, it is too early to call, however Donald Trump is in the lead. In the state of Georgia, it is too close to call. In the state of South Carolina, it is too early to call, however Donald Trump is leading. In the state of Florida, it is too close to call. In the state of Virginia, it is too close to call.

Donald Trump takes an early lead with 8 electoral votes to Hillary Clinton's 3. A tiny amount of states doled out thus far, but still the first meaningful results of the night.
