     I would like to publish my draft of the budget. This is based on the tax revenue and expenditures of the states in the region. I carry over some estimates, both personal and GM, from the previous South Budget that has existed since 2011.

     I appreciate comment on this. It has the Marijuana bill in it, but not other bills that may have had a fiscal impact. We may need to put work into estimating those.

No sir, since it's 2-8 weeks before the election (October 14th) legislature confirmation is all that is needed.

     Senator tmthforu94 has vacated the Senate seat, so we will have a special election for the seat. The special election will occur next weekend, contemporaneous with the election for the Class I seat currently held by Senator dfwlibertylover. I encourage any citizens of the region who are interested to declare their candidacy ASAP.

     The special election to replace former Senator tmthforu94 has ended in a tie. Pursuant to Article VI, Section 5 of the Southern Constitution there will be a runoff election held on the weekend of October 21st-23rd.

     To be clear, the Southern Election Act does not apply ex post facto. Anyone who newly registered in or moved to the South prior to me signing the act will not be affected by it in the election this weekend. Their votes will be counted the same as any other votes cast by valid voters.
