While there's been a lot of press surrounding the large number of high profile Republicans skipping the convention, it should be noted that the majority of sitting Republican Senators will be in attendance, at least for part of it.  This includes several folks who haven't endorsed Trump.  (Heck, Cruz is speaking, and he hasn't endorsed Trump.)  Here's a list of which Senators will be there:

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/here-are-all-the-gop-senators-skipping-their-convention

Unclear how many of them will be speaking though.

I'll laugh if it ends up being the same people that have been confirmed for weeks and weeks with no new speaker announcements.

Of course, by that they mean tomorrow. And by that, they mean the next day. And by that, they mean the day after that. And by that, they mean the day after that. . .

Because the last time a statewide elected official was introduced to the nation at the RNC it went so well.

-There's only one name listed in the GOP convention app, and it's George Washington.

-Also, Bob Corker is no longer speaking at the convention.

-Mitch McConnel will speak, and other expected names include Paul Ryan, Scott Walker, Joni Ernst, Ted Cruz, Marsha Blackburn, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Shelly Moore Capito, and the Trump kids.

I just found out about the app. I'm looking forward to watching the convention through 360-degree livestream.

Apparently, RNC delegates are looking to close all primaries and caucuses to Independents and Democrats.

How do you enforce this in states with no partisan registration?

I think they're actually just looking to give bonus delegates to primaries/caucuses that are closed, to encourage more states to go that route.  I guess the states with no registration would simply be out of luck.

Is there any evidence Trump would have lost if all the primaries were closed?  Based on what I've seen in exit polls, Trump seemed to do similarly well with indies as registered Republicans.
