Lol, she's going to dispense with this fool so quickly. It's nice to see her unrestrained.

That's ok.  The talk radio right will just find some new phrase to challenge her to say.  "Yeah but I bet you can't say this!"

Yeah.  Reminds me of Obamacare.  Take what could have been a good bill and load it up with a bunch of Republican ideas and the right wingers still didn't vote for it.  Then you are just left with a pile of poo.

Romenycare was great till Obama adopted it.  Now it is awful socialism.

Watch.  Two years from now Hillary will be calling it "radical Islam" and Republicans will be howling, it's political correctness gone crazy.  They will demand she calls it "Islam the devil's religion".

Well that's what it is. Any religion can be radicalized and distorted into something that it isn't'.

Islamism != Islam != Radical Islam.

Islamism = political belief in a state reformed to conform, wholly or partially, to Islamic religious law.

Islam = the faith itself, in its many forms, sects, interpretations, and practices worldwide.

Radical Islam = belief in returning to the roots of the Koran as the only basis of faith, law, and life.  (The word "Fundamentalism" is also used, but technically Fundamentalism is a Christian term.)

Islamism is Radical Islam politicized.

Exactly. Clearly the nuance will be lost by most, but Clinton understands these differences. A the same time, there isn't a word in English to accurately describe how little Trump understands about most things.

Whatever happened to the term we used to use 10 or 15 years ago "Islamofascist"?  Michael Savage used to say it.  Even George W. Bush used it on occasion.  Trump should bring it back into common usage.

"Islamofascist" is really a stupid term.  The closest thing that region has to fascists are the secular Ba'athist regimes. Saddam Hussein was a fascist, or close enough to warrant the label.  And he tried everything he could to stamp out Islamism, up to and including killing and torturing his own civilians and invading neighbor states.  And, of course, there's Assad in Syria.

GWB using it was part of the silly effort to paste OBL's beard on Saddam's face.

Actually I appreciate that response.  You may have even convinced me.

Thanks.  And I didn't intend to call you stupid.  Or even call Michael Weiner stupid.  Weiner is an enfant provocateur, but he's not stupid.

Will you come back to the Democratic side now? We're missing you already.

A good move politically, although I do worry about impact that it could have on America's Muslim population in the wake of an attack.

I certainly do like chipping away at right-wing banter-points over semantics, though.

If she continues down this path and pushes for a strong foreign policy, (not Bernie's isolationist kumbaya foreign policy) I could see myself backing Clinton in November. I recognize that Trump, while "strong" by some definitions, is a loose cannon and does not have even close to Clinton's knowledge on world affairs.

I can't switch back after only a day, though. Wink

I don't think anyone except the extreme right wing, including Muslims, care what we call terrorists. If some Muslim is offended, maybe the FBI should have a chat.

Good for Hillary, she is picking her battles with the noise machine wisely.
