Well, you've got a lot of good posters there.  I'll limit myself to just twelve for brevity.

PBrunsel has a good grasp of history and is invariarly polite.

Dazzleman has very lucid, well thought out, and informative posts.

John Dibble appeals to my libertarian leanings, and has a nice touch of humor.

John Ford exhibits an high degree of common sense, especially when other posters on a thread are going a little nuts.

Gustaf is another polite poster who brings a sensible european perspective to this board.

JJ and I occasionally disagree, but he brings a lot of real life knowledge to this board.

Lunar reminds me of Gustaf, except he represents a moderate California perspective (a rare commodity).

New Federalist, like John Ford, has a lot of common sense and a great deal of courtsey.

StatesRights is very entertaining and has exhibited significant knowledge in some areas.

Tredick is a thoughtful, informative and articulate poster.

Vorlons' knowledge of survey research is awesome.  I've had many enjoyable discussions with him at the forum.

Finally, I miss BossTweed.  Haven't see him post for a while.

BTW, am I the only one to notice that since the election ended, most of the abusive posters have dropped off from the forum.

I notice that in a lot of the 'poll' questions on the Forum, I am either in the majority, or at least plurality.

Also, it seems to me that the more knowledgeable posters recognize and respect others that bring information, cogent explantion (and humor).

I believe that the greater the knowledge of American politics, the greater the understanding that many matters are not subject to simple 'solutions,' and that no one has a monopoly on either 'good will,' or 'the truth.'
