I've noticed a lot of Atlasians vote FF or HP on states in polls based on whether they like their politics or not. So are there any exceptions for anyone?

I like to tell myself and truly believe it is turning red, but for now, obviously Maine for me.

I'm not sure if Montana counts, because it's somewhat mavericky and libertarian, but if so, Montana. If not, I'd have to go with Louisiana.

I hate to be that guy, but are we talking what the state favors for presidential politics or statewide politics.

That's actually a fair question. I had on average in mind mostly. It's what permitted me to pick Maine. Yeah the State GOP is alive and well, but that doesn't mean you should get your hopes up TOO much as a Republican here.

Most of my favorite states are red blue states.
Or lean that way, at least at the presidential level.

Nevada's a swing state, but I guess I'll go with them.

Utah (and perhaps Idaho) come to mind. It is not much a GOP vs Dem thing but an issue of religion.. It plays a big role there but unlike the South, the ship seems pretty tightly run and the people were nice enough when I visited.

California, for sure.  If we're talking regions, then definitely Silicon Valley/Bay Area.

If we're counting swing states, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina (should it count), and Iowa/Wisconsin (minus the weather) are all good.  If we're not, I would have to go with California or Hawaii (for the weather).  Parts of New Mexico, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware would be fine too.
