The economic down turn which caused Cruz's election was severely increased by deregulation. With unemployment at 8.9% in June 2020. The #RememberTheCruzCession and #SayNoToTheCruzSessions movements result in Generation Z voting heavily for the Blue Dog/New Democrat Julian Castro.
