Nova/Nova

I don't necessarily like them, but I am sick of Carolina and other blue bloods winning. We need a champion with a fresh face.

There have always been 9 great college programs, but every great list needs a round number like 10.

The #10 spot in the greatest basketball program rankings used to be a toss-up between Florida and the three way rivalry of Syracuse, Georgetown and Villanova (and maybe Michigan or Ohio St. but not quite). Before tonight, I had given the edge to Florida on the basis of multiple national championships recently, but with Villanova joining that prestigious group, they might just jump to #10 even as they do every miracle as an underdog! Incredible!

Massive respect to the Heels still (Beat Duke!), but this was legendary.

There have always been 9 great college programs

Indiana, UCLA, Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Louisville, UConn, and Kansas?

That game was fantastic, and that ending was ridiculous. How did that UNC guy make that last shot?Huh And of course, the Nova buzzer beater is one of the biggest shots in history. That was so fun to watch.

Yes those 8 of course (the classic 6 plus Louisville and UConn on account of their recent successes), but I also include Michigan State as a special program that is clearly above the other 2-championship teams. The length between championships shows sustained success, and the number of Final Fours is much higher than anyone else in consideration for the 9 spot except Ohio State (who doesn't have multiple championships).

Villanova will win. If I had to guess, it will probably be somewhere around 77-74, but IDK.
