8. In which battle was Huldrych Zwingli killed in 1531?

My only guess, without looking it up, is the Battle of Luttzen?

Nope.

16. What is the full official name of the 1920 Act granting Home Rule.
Government of Ireland Act 1920

That is the official short title, not the full title.

Let me guess: "An Act to provide for the Government of Ireland."

An Act to provide for the future government of Ireland?

As to the Zwingli question, I've looked it up, so answering this would not be fair. Very interesting character, Zwingli. Sounds much much better than Luther and Calvin. As to the Calvin question, I tried to look that up and found two possible answers that you may have had in mind, but not a correct one.

Nope on the Ireland question.

I like Zwingli better than Luther and Calvin also Smiley. I am curious to know what the two possible answers you have are? I think I know what they are but I am not sure, there is one correct answer as far as I know, a reformer based in Strassburg who Calvin developed upon, the Consistory was already in place in Strassburg under this reformer.

Appalled with myself for not finding this earlier.

12. In 1880 who became Chairman of the Irish Nationalist Party?
Charles Stewart Parnell

13. What was the name of the pro-Unionist group who imported thousands of German rifles in 1914?
Ulster Volunteer Force

16. What is the full official name of the 1920 Act granting Home Rule?
An Act to Provide for the Better Government of Ireland

17. Who was largely responsible for the organization of the Easter Rising in 1916?
Whilest I would say no single individual could claim this, I imagine the answer sought is my own forebear Padraig Pearse

18. Who was leader of the Irish Parliamentary Party from 1900 until 1918?
John Redmond

12, 13, 16 & 18. 17 is not the answer I was looking for but he was on the committee responsible so I guess I shall accept, I would say that Plunkett was more responsible though.....

Quite easy question here:

Name the only state to be carried with a higher percent of the vote than the District of Columbia in the same election and name what the two elections were.

I knew 1972, I confess to having looked for the state - Mississippi.

And now a few European history questions from me (once again, no Googling/Wikipediaing):

1. Who was the last non-cardinal to be elected Pope?
2. Which Emperor attempted to return Rome from Christianity to paganism during the fourth century AD?
3. To whom did the Spanish King Charles II bequeath his dominions?
4. Who said that the Holy Roman Empire was "neither Holy, nor Roman, nor an Empire?"
5. Which British monarch was the last to claim the French Throne?

3 is correct

4 is correct

1. Who was the last non-cardinal to be elected Pope?
Ardian VI?

2. Which Emperor attempted to return Rome from Christianity to paganism during the fourth century AD?
Julian the Apostate.

3. To whom did the Spanish King Charles II bequeath his dominions?
Phillip of Bourbon?

4. Who said that the Holy Roman Empire was "neither Holy, nor Roman, nor an Empire?"
Voltaire

5. Which British monarch was the last to claim the French Throne?
George II (George III renounced the claim)
2, 3 and 5 are correct; 4 was already answered.

So question 1 is the only one remaining.

As nobody seems to be providing the answer to the rather obscure question 1, I shall do so: Pope Urban VI (1378).
