Ok, wasn't sure. Its spelled Hapsburg when used as the last name for my family members a few hundred years back in the family tree.

Yes. Whoever wrote this just may have used the spelling he thought his (American) readers would find more familiar, even though he knew noone else would.

Habsburg is the official name as J.J. and Lewis have pointed out, Hapbsburg is a variant that I have only ever heard used by Americans.
