Bare in mind that they also show a near four-way national tie in the GOP primary.

Anyway, as I've said before, there's a sizable number of Republican voters (and right-leaning indies) who absolutely despise TRUMP right now, whereas virtually none genuinely despise Cruz/Rubio/Kasich. The GOP TRUMP haters will, if/when he's the nominee, find that they despise Hillary a lot more and hence put the tick next the TRUMP when it comes to it.

38 is pretty low for Trump. That said, Trump shouldn't be overlooked. Barring a economic boom, it may be close at end and Clinton only winning with 272-266 electors, but anything can happen.

Interesting detail from the poll:

Among Republican primary voters: 53% would be satisfied with Trump as the nominee, 46% not (including 31% Very Dissatisfied)

In March 2012, they asked the same question for Romney: 72-24 Satisfied (though I guess the nomination was pretty much wrapped up by then)

I guess Kasich lack of unfavorables are coming simply from the fact very few people thinks of him at all.

I think so as well.

Note to potential future Republican candidates:  if all you're going to do on the debate stage is to talk substantively about issues that affect voters, then don't bother running.
