it looks like al gore would win the popular vote but lose the presidency...yet again.



dick cheney/judd gregg (R): 38%, 263 evs
al gore/dick durbin (D): 39%, 228 evs
christopher shays/ben nelson (unity): 23%, 47 EVs

Gore is a has-been, Dickie Durbin (one of the few politicians I've met a few times personally) has really fallen off the reality wagon lately, and Cheney would never win the Republican nomination.
