I know Clinton supported Goldwater but it would be interesting to use something like this in the general.

BTW shout out to Nate Silver for find this Archive.

I've expected Hillary to use something like this also, would be very effective.

Yes, it would make the perfect ad.

I miss the days when metrosexual 20-something white hipsters voted Republican.

It will be interesting to see how mainstream republicans react to a Trump nomination if Marco doesn't save it.

I'm almost certain that guy is an actor.  He's one of those character actors that you never know their names.   It's a good commercial and I suspect we will see a modern version of that, much shorter and less smoking of course.

God, it's like they found out exactly what a young, possibly asexual, liberal Republican from a metro area looked like. I'm impressed with how stereotypical he seems! He looks like one of the less-liked characters on "Mad Men". I also love just how there are so many non-specifics about "the things Goldwater supports". Class "A" ad, all around. Can't wait for TRUMP's "Confessions of a Democrat" comes out!

"Mainstream Republicans" are supporting Trump. The opposition is made up of fringe evangelicals, libertarian basement dwellers, and Beltway hacks who don't want to lose their cushy think tank gigs.

Yeah, I think Trump will struggle to counter perfectly sound ads like this one, with which Dem Super PACs will bombard him when the GE season comes around.  They will overwhelm him quickly.

The Trump Deniers just won't go away.

The highlighted quote is why Trump is in such a commanding position.  TRUMP is the Republican mainstream these days, moreso than the "Movement Conservatives" who thought they had the race locked up.

His name is Bill Bogert, he's had several very small roles in a lot of movies and tv shows (he had larger roles in the Chapelle Show Small Wonder)  since 1996 and he's still working and was married to the first female  muppeteer

And we shall inherit the country when y'all aren't looking during the midterms. Correction -- we've already taken it, during the last two. Sobering thought, isn't it?
