Before people press on me about the number of options, my brain isn't cooperating in remembering who all on the forum subscribes to libertarian or partial-libertarian ideals for apologies in advance.

The ones that don't constantly go on and on about their 'edgy fiscally conservative and socially liberal views'.

Yours truly, of those listed, cuz I'm a narcissist. I'm a pretty halfhearted libertarian (if I'm one at all) though.

Of the actual libertarians, it's a tie between Leinad and LibertarianRepublican.

Chairman Sanchez and especially Goldwater are not libertarians. Sanchez is a paleoconservative and Goldwater is a neoconservative (neoconservatives are by definition socially liberal). That's like calling Dick Cheney a libertarian.

Anyways, to actually answer the question, Goldwater, Leinad, Tedbessell, and ElectionsGuy are all good people.

To answer the question, Goldwater is by far the best user of all the options on the poll, but he's not a libertarian, so I didn't vote for him.

I voted for ElectionsGuy. Ted Bessell is also great.

Oh my God...

If we want to go by the academic definition of neoconservatism, then I guess yes, they might be socially liberal. That said, the stereotypical "neoconservative" is some Jewish ex-liberal who still opposes drug legalization and isn't too turned off by a welfare state. Goldwater hardly applies. While I'd think he could be loosely characterized as a neoconservative, he's far too economically and socially liberal (in the actual sense of the word--"free") to count as a standard neocon.

Kind of sucks that there are no real "forum vet" libertarians, Dibble for example, who made coherent arguments. I guess that's what we get with the death of the ideology.

Fair argument.

He might not be a neoconservative, but he's certainly not a libertarian.

I no longer identify as a libertarian. At this point, I'm some type of vague old right populist.

No, I consider myself more of a Mosley/Mussolini style fascist, thank you very much Tongue. I'm not really into the weird combination of repressed homosexuality and Aryan mysticism.

This is obviously sarcastic but I have to put this part in because half of you are tools who wouldn't get it.

Of these options, tie between Goldilocks the Warmonger and Sunburn-ambivalent And ElectionsGuy.

Also, who's gonna do the inevitable "favorite Communitarians-or-whatever-you-label-those-people-with- '- economic, + social scores'" thread?
