Obviously, she has been doing that for the past few weeks now.

Call me a hack, but I think this is a REALLY boneheaded way to deal with AA outreach.

Her trying to hide behind Obama is just pathetic. She had no problem running a negative campaign against him in 2008. She had no problem publicly calling him out a little over a year ago for not being enough of a warmonger in Syria.

I'm not saying it's not true. I'm saying its a stupid way to deal with his issues with AA voters. This might come as a shock to you, but I'm not making every comment with my Hillary supporter hat on.

I don't know if blacks are impressed by the hide behind the black man strategy.

I'm not going to presume to know what AA voters are or are not impressed with. But as political strategy - telling people that someone they like is only liked by them because they're being tricked is stupid.

Hillary is closer to Obama's positions than Sanders is. Trying to pretend otherwise is absurd.

Yeah. It's not really the greatest way to say it. I'm not even sure that he should've said anything along those lines.

So... since this was an unforced error, Sanders attacked himself?

I guess Sanders is shocked that black folks disagree with his assessment that Obama was a disappointment for progressives.

Rabid Sandernista: "SHE ONLY WAS IN THE CABINET SO SHE CAN GET BLACK VOTES 8 YEARS FROM THEN"

I'm wondering at what point will you realize that you are talking to yourself. This seems to be a common anti-Sanders posting style (not talking just about you), where one says oh the Sandernistas would probably react in this way, thus cementing in your head the way they act and increasing your deluded perceptions. It's all quite annoying.

This is from the Hookers for Hillary thread.

I rest my case.

Yes Sanders is much more progressive and Clinton is a center left hawk.

I think Clinton realized that as a high-profile member of Obama's cabinet, she was not going to be able to distance herself from the president so she might as well gain the benefit of pulling him close.  She is not making the Al Gore 2000 mistake.

Why would you want to distance yourself from Obama in a Democratic primary anyway? Last I checked he is still widely popular within the party.

Because he is a Rockefeller Republican in disguise as prominent Sanders backer Cornell West has said.
