The GOP has cultivated people who reject objective reality. This was obvious at the last debate, when the audience booed the idea of facts.

Of the 19 hijackers on 9/11, 15 were from Saudi Arabia. Osama bin Laden was a Saudi himself, from one of the wealthiest families in Saudi Arabia -  a family that is closely connected to the Saudi royal family. Much of the money that has been raised by al-Qaeda comes from donors in Saudi Arabia. This isn't controversial.

OTOH, the Bush family is closely connected to the House of Saud and other wealthy Saudi families (including the bin Laden family, to some extent). You gotta wonder how much that that factored into the Bush administration's actions after 9/11 ( e. g. the order from the White House to classify 28 pages of the Joint Commission on 9/11 report - pages that dealt with terrorist financing and al-Qaeda's potential connections to foreign governments. Gee, I wonder which government they were talking about!)
