♡ The Most Beautiful Girl ♡

I went all out for Valentine's this year, including the following extremely schmaltzy love song I wrote to surprise my girlfriend at the church we both attend.

It's to the tune of "Most Beautiful Girl in the World" by Charlie Rich, a country song from 1973 that is a typical done-somebody-wrong song that I reworked into a love song.

She's touched my heart,      so I'll say some things Despite the butterflies      this morning brings     I know all's right now that I can see Everything's better when I'm with my Janie! I'm very pleased to say that the answer was yes.

Also, schmaltz is Yiddish for deep-fried chicken skin, which I'm sure you already know.  (That alone makes me think you a dirty old man.)

Yes.  She even meets the arbitrary half plus seven rule some posters here have called for in the past as we're only ten years different in age.

My dad tried to propose on Valentine's Day, but was too excited and proposed on the 11th instead. I'd probably forget it was Valentine's Day and propose on the 15th or something stupid like that.
