Would you advocate independence for French Guyana?

I don't care. Certainly, South Africa was better before Mandela's socialists/communists took over.

I'll be the first to admit I know almost nothing about the political situation in French Guyana.  I know its capital city is Cayenne, but that's it.

Why isn't there an option 4 that says the same thing as #3 but has a "D" next to it? I love England and France so I've always been a little hesitant to just bash colonialism b/c it was the popular thing to do.

As far as I know French Guiana is not oppressed except for the Devil's Island prison. I may be wrong but its only non-French inhabitants are nomadic Amazonian tribes. Its incredibly wrong to compare that situation to Apartheid-era South Africa.

I give a damn about colonialism (R).  Colonial powers should be given their self determination- the same rights the U.S. Founding Fathers fought for and secured.
