"One of us ran against Barack Obama. I was not that candidate." - Bernie Sanders

Best line of the debate

Haha, yeah.

Also tremendous closing statement from Bernie!

Clinton: I'm not a single issue candidate.  Not to say that someone else up here is one....

Why do they always talk about "children being poisoned in Flint"?  Wasn't everybody poisoned?

FDR would not approve of Bernie's international and trade positions. He would certainly be on team Hillary.

I'm sure Mr. "I welcome their hatred" would be a big fan of Wall Street friendly 3rd wayers.

Her PR people and focus groups say the optics are much better if you say 'children'.

Clinton does know about Obama's approval ratings, right?

They're fantastic among Democrats.  90% or so, I think?  What's your point?

Bernie's closing statement goes to the core of his political philosophy.

Hillary's is just a list of policy positions.

You guys are crazy. I think Clinton's wiping the floor with that old empty suit.

Sanders could belch as a response and some people would be all "OMG, HE'S KILLING IT!!!!"

Either Sanders' or Clintons' debate performances could easily best the Republican debaters, but there is no doubt that Sanders won this one.

We're electing a president, not a philosopher. Bernie can wax as much as he wants about a movement, but after the election his campaign will close down, his staffers will move on, and his volunteers will return to their lives.

Clinton clearly won this. She was clear, concise, calm and collected. Clinton had a clear strategy and stuck to it.

She had a strategy, but any nonbiased viewer could easily tell that it failed.

The US President in general has little power over the detail of policy. A Democratic President facing a Republican Congress will have no power at all.

So yeah, I'd say it's more important for a President to have a clear vision rather than a list of policies.

I can't imagine anyone who supported either candidate before that debate changing their mind or being disappointing in their candidate.   Hard to say what happened with undecideds and those just engaging in the process.

I like how that Republican woman on CNN is criticizing the debate for being to policy oriented...

Sanders was angry, ignorant of foreign policy and light on actual details. There is no question who won.
