Isn't this the most reasonable and efficient path to win back the White House in 2016? Discuss.

Probably. Good luck convincing 97% of the Republican Party to go along with that and not the other way around.

Flip it around and it's actually realistic

Agree. It's Rubio/Kasich, if anything.
I believe this ticket would have some legs, and would make Ohio either Slight-Rep to Lean-Rep.
(Ohio is important if the Rep want to win in 2016.)

I would say it's already tilt-R with Rubio, Kasich would pretty much solidify it

Better than Rubio/Kasich.

Kasich is, even if you prefer Rubio's views, by far the better qualified candidate of these two and would be a more effective leader.

vomitworthy and unelectable.

Luckily, Americans would have the decency to decidedly reject Manic Lehman/Thirsty Cuban.

I wouldn't trust Kasich to not govern like a big-government Bush.

If you think Kasich/Rubio is unelectable then who the hell is electable?

Might be the GOP's best realistic shot at the moment. I still think Christie is their best shot for the general election, but it's looking increasinly unlikely that he can win the nomination.

Rubio on top. Christie. Trump. Digging Romney up from his grave. Heck even Carson and Cruz could make a better fight than Kasich.

Kasich?  No.  Rubio as VP for someone else? Maybe...

Rubio / Kasich is the best shot at winning the white house back by far and ive said this for years. Rubio can win the nomination, Kasich can't and wont unfortunately.

What is this, 6 months ago? Kasich doesn't stand a chance, even if he wins New Hampshire, which I don't think he will even get close.

Kasich doesn't need charisma with his message.

I do agree Ernst, Gardner, or Sandoval would all make better running-mates.

It's definitely not the worst ticket, both should have legitimate appeal to moderates and "somewhat conservatives," Kasich brings plenty of experience, and Rubio checks a lot of boxes and seems qualified to be VP, but imo the three big problems with the ticket are:

1)Lack of a woman on the ticket
2)Does Kasich's personality really seem presidential? His personality hasn't come off all that well in debates, imo
3)Cruz/Trump/Carson voters might stay home

To be clear, any ticket would have problems, but I think this ticket has one problem too many.

Better would be Rubio/Kasich, both work for me, nails down FL and OH.  Youth and change with Rubio and experience and accomplishment in Kaisich.

Ernst is more charismatic and base loyal, Gardner comes off as more experienced, and Sandoval has more gravitas and more appeal to Hispanics.
