Do you think that the Presidential turnout itself could flip the House, being Dems only need 2 seats to tie and 3 to win?

If turnout is relatively decent and Democrats win the state by a healthy margin, I can see them getting the seats they need to take back the State House. If the Democratic nominee only wins the state in the GE by a very thin margin then I dunno.

Personally, I'm more inclined to believe they will take it back in 2016. The NM State House has been very strongly Democratic for almost its entire history. 2014 was just a bad year for Democrats and the State House served its purpose - A reactionary chamber to respond more quickly to current opinions. Given just how badly the GOP is doing now with Hispanics this cycle, it seems far more possible than not.

I think it may fall to the Dems. The NM GOP have managed to get by pivoting against the NM Democratic Party's corruption, but now the same allegations are falling upon their head which is making them lose the relatively clean veneer.

Democrats will be in great shape to take control again.  Hispanics should be well-mobilized.
