That would require Iran to admit they're holding him.  They won't do that until the U.S. admits he's a CIA agent, regardless of whether he's actually one. We won't do that, regardless of whether he's actually an agent. Unfortunately, I think the best the Levinson family can hope for is that when he dies, the Iranians "find" the body and return it the U.S. for burial.

Yes, they feel utterly cheated out of what could have been a perfectly good scandal to drive down Democratic changes in 2016. It's funny watching them try to salvage a very smooth exchange (minus videos) and make it into something to trash Democrats/Obama with.
