Got off probation, got a 3.78 and a 4.0 academically, elected chapter president. Decent year. As with all years, awful, but relatively acceptable. In a relative sense, Freedom Year.

Mixed, and definitely not as good as last year, personally and worldly.

I'll lean FY because I graduated.

Massive Freedom Year personally, as even my setbacks were learning moments (like getting "fired" and transferred led me to a new job that I love). Politically mixed, but mostly a freedom year.

Pretty mixed year. Graduated from high school, which was bittersweet, and then moved to Mansfield, which was godawful, but I've successfully managed to campus-change to the main campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus (where I'll be starting classes in January). Summer was fantastic, with lots of traveling and lots of memories with friends, but I also had two near-death moments (my car was totaled in July, and I was told that I was very lucky that it did not flip over and roll, which would likely have killed me; and then in August I fell off of a cliff at exactly the right spot, so that I landed on sand instead of bare rock; a few feet to the left or right and I could well have been paralyzed instead of getting away, as I did, with cuts and scratches), which put a damper on the whole thing. The girl I have feelings for (a close friend of mine who isn't aware of how I feel) told me, over the summer, in excruciating detail, about how she lost her virginity, which had to have been the most difficult conversation I've ever had outside of being told someone was dead.

Lean negative, but I like to think it's the positive things from this year (graduating high school, getting into the Columbus campus earlier than I had expected to, most of the summer) that'll stick in my mind rather than the negative things, which were mostly individual sh**tty events whose impacts will fade with time. I didn't vote.

Freedom year on balance, I guess.  Better than other recent years.

Pffft.  If you had died it would have been a HY, clearly a FY.

2014 was a pretty good year for me.  2015, not so much.  Neutral.

I can't vote FY in light of what's happened to France.

Great year by far. Got a great girlfriend in April. Changed positions and became a DI Underwriter in the same company in January.

Then you had the Milwaukee Common Council approve a streetcar system and two signature attempts to stop it failed miserably. Milwaukee Bucks got approved for a new arena to begin construction next year. The Couture building won a judgment against a awful parks group who aren't appealing so that will begin next year. My company is well on its way to building its new building with another tall one being built next year. And lots of other big developments being built in the city. I'm a development junky if you can't tell.

All in all a great year.

HY in the world, like every year. FY for myself. Not as good as 2014, but still good.

Been good school/exam wise-managed to do much better on my A-Levels than expected, and got into a top Uni which was what I wanted. Been good otherwise -feel like I've managed to become more confident, and actually go out/hang out with people for enjoyment rather than just doing it as a means of passing time.

Politically it's been sh**t-but this thread makes you remember that even on Atlas there's more to life than politics (and yes that's coming from the safety of my middle class home)

The first time in many years where things were generally substantially better at the end of the year than the beginning.  I won't complain.  Let's hope 2016 carries that onward.

A significant number of troublemakers here decided to ditch this place for another forum, so as a moderator it was a Freedom Year.

Oh yeah, and I completed "Hobo Orgy Guy and Blondie", so that was pretty cool too.

Lean HY

2015 was below average, but 2014 was awful.

1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 were all absolutely amazing tho
