Man if unemployment stays as high as it currently is Reagan and his Voodoo economics are finished. Wonder if Ted Kennedy will run again.

Considering the last president to serve two full terms was Eisenhower in the 50s, Reagan will surely either retire, resign, or lose reelection.

Perhaps Carter can pull a Cleveland.

Raygun is finished, much unlike his good buddy Thatcher. Bentsen is almost certainly going to throw his hat in.

Ya know, I hear McGovern is thinking about running. I think he'd be a solid pick. Would be funny if Hart ran too, because it would be campaign manager vs candidate!

Well the fact that unemployment dropped from 10.8 percent from dec 1982 to 8.3 percent in dec of this year I say Reagan will likely win reelection

Reagan only can be defeated if one of Lindsay, Mondale, or Ferraro joins the Democratic ticket. They're all way too strong GE candidates, with heavy ties to Union Dems lured in by Reagan's blue collar appeal.

If Reagan's approvals stay as they are then Carter may well do a Cleveland.

Good news in Australia the other week; Hawke's ALP won the federal election. Good riddance to that hard-right tosser Fraser. Neither he nor his loathsome Treasurer John Howard will be heard from again. I am confident that, despite rumours to the contrary, Hawke will maintain the mixed economy and even nationalize a few more industries.

Our election is due next year; Foot could well be replaced by (ugh) Healey prior to it. Still, Bermondsey will be back in our corner; no doubt that the Liberal win last month was a fluke and a protest against that gay Aussie guy.

It pains me to say this, but Reagan is done for.  Get ready for President Mondale or President Carter, Part 2.

But it's still early.  He could still pull it out in theory, but at this point, I hope he steps aside and lets another Republican run.
