Its your choose!

As you can see, I added the major event of each year to help you make up your mind. I chose 1969 because I doubt many posters know much about the individual years prior to it

For those with an itch to know, wikipedia has details on just about every year of recorded history.  (as well as listings of fictional future events, and predictable events such as astronomical phenomina)

The 1989-1991 period is the greatest three year period  since 1943-1945. One of those, maybe 1989 because I was born that year.

*insert horrid, insensitive joke here*

Anyway, I picked '94...not because of the midterm victories (heck, I was overseas at the time...)--I just remember it as a very good year.

1973 of course!  Roe v. Wade and the peak of the median working class american's economic well being.  It has all been down hill from there.

For 1969, you should have put the Moon Landing.

2003 and 2004 were excellent, especially the latter which may have been the best year in my life.  2005 has been horrible so far, but I won't go into that here.  As for the poll, I voted for the year I was born.

Young'ns.  I can remember those days long ago when people born in 1990 still weren't old enough to register on Internet message boards.  The 1980s are clearly superior to the 1990s.  Tongue
