It's a good ad in showing how Trump's campaign is truly the heir to Wallace 1968

I thought I was the only one who made that connection.

Kasich is a pathetic loser and should be deported on day one of the Trump administration. How is this Quisling traitor being allowed to run for president?

So, what position will Kasich be offered in a potential Bush cabinet in return for attack dogging Trump?

Sec of Treasury but most likely he will be offered a VP slot not Cabinet

clash, I see that you display your 'Trump for President' banner.
Why would Kasich be "deported" ?
How is that even legal ?
Why is he a "traitor" ?
First Trump starts saying things that resemble the Nazis, and now his supports (you) start spewing the same disgusting language.

Not quite, but this idiom may fit :
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

again this is not an actual TV commercial, just a web video.  I think the main target of this is the establishment elites. Kasich is trying to send the message that he is the one who is willing to take on Trump directly, and therefore they should get behind him. Not sure it will work but what does he have to lose at this point.
To my mind, everyone who is willing to take on Trump directly will probably lose.
'You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink' or 'no joy can come from causing grief'.
As a religious man Kasich should know it.
Offending bully Trump is a bad tactics.

None of you got it.

Kasich isn't actually trying to hurt Trump with this. He's playing for the minority (but significant minority) of Republicans who already view Trump negatively. This is the same strategy he used in the debate when he aggressively challenged Trump on deportations and other issues. With Bush, Christie and Rubio failing to stand up to Trump, Kasich is trying to become the voice of anti-Trump sanity and emerge from New Hampshire as the strongest candidate who is palatable to the establishment.

For me it does the opposite. It makes me hate Trump more, but it doesn't give me any reason to support Kasich over the 15 other non-Trump candidates. Kasich isn't even mentioned until the very end where it says "Paid for by Kasich for America."
maybe you don't feel any more compelled to vote for him, but others well might. About half of those 15 other candidates are little more acceptable to the establishment wing then Trump, at least not to the point that they would be a viable alternative. Of the other half, with Bush having tanked terminally, none except possibly Rubio are still viable contenders. At least our governor can make claim to having decent whole numbers in New Hampshire compared to the other establishment candidates, and therefore maybe the only viable Kingslayer to take prompt on there, again with the possible exception of Rubio.

So in all, it is A long shot, but a reasonable plan. We can trump enough that there's a shot of taking him down in New Hampshire, and beating Rubio out as the prime establishment candidate to take him on. The factories running comparably to Rubio in New Hampshire, and the establishment won't know him for any success in weakening Trump, makes it at least a credible possibility. The biggest weakness I see, however, is how eroding trumps support equals AGame in kasich's phone numbers. Bows theoretically disaffected Trump voters aren't likely to pic him as a second or even third choice in New Hampshire or elsewhere. It would seem very likely drift 2 Cruz or Carson. I suppose the theory is that Trump runs well among self identified somewhat conservative and moderate voters, especially in New Hampshire, and those voters may be more inclined to consider kacak as an alternative, but I think that really misses the point of trunk voters being fundamentally anti establishment more than ideological

Kasich has already lost though.  It's just like when Jindal attacked Trump, nobody cared and Trump brushed it off.  The only difference here is that Kasich's super PAC has millions of dollars for this so it'll be hard to ignore.  Kasich isn't afraid of going from 3% to 1% at the hands of Trump though.

Going after Trump doesn't help.
Let's take a look at what happened at people who attacked Trump:
Perry, Walker and Jindal dropped out of the race.
Bush, Paul, Fiorina, Kasich are not doing well. Carson is doing pretty bad too.
The only candidates that have not attacked Trump (Rubio, Cruz, Christie) are the only candidates with their polling numbers or momentum growing. I don't think it's just a case.

It isn't Godwin's Law if he's literally talking like a Nazi.

Correct.  Godwin himself came up with an exception to his law that if somebody was actually proposing extremist laws enacted by the Nazi's that the analogy was acceptable.

So, no according to Godwin himself, Kasich did not go full Godwin.

Like the ad, and love that someone is standing up to the demagogue.  I'm ready to fight back, and glad at least one of the candidates is taking the fight to Trump.
The moderate non-establishment voters are ready to fight back. He's constantly mocked us, and, to quote the good Governor, "bullies never expect you to fight back".

Literally the best anti-Trump commercial yet. To fight fire with fire is idiocy; to fight fire with its diametrical opposite is insanity; to fight fire, one must use water.

This analogy does not entirely work.

I think you're even more of a delusional fanboy than dudeabides and DeadPrez.

Kasich has fanboys? The guy has the charisma of a cardboard cut-out with a recorder tapped to it.

Kingpolen is the biggest Kasich fanboy, trust me and d32123 on this.

EDIT: Though in this case, Kasich isn't exactly wrong.

Lol. Well fair enough. I just find it hard to believe anyone other than a Republican from Ohio being all that jazzed about Kasich. The guy is slightly more interesting than a bar of soap, but not exactly by much.

Donald Trump is a socialist clown who hates freedom, hates capitalism, hates immigrants, and he hates America. Yet you call John Kasich, a rational adult and patriot, a "traitor?"

Donald Trump is almost 70 years old. He was not very bright to begin with, but he is so senile now that he can't possibly serve as President.

This is a Kasich's ad on Trump mocking reporter with disability.

https://twitter.com/JohnKasich/status/671699525724073985

This is the first time I saw Trump's mocking. It's really terrible.
