Thank you, members, and thank you to Mr Barnes for his service. I shall avoid any pontificating on my part and get on to the business of this house. Order!

We shall now consider the motion introduced by Mr BaconBacon96, namely:

The petition is accepted by the Chair.

I hereby declare that Xahar has vacated his seat and that said seat has been filled by the Socialist Party with Mr. Bore.

Since there seems no input whatsoever from our government, I guess we can progress to the third reading, Mr. Speaker.

That is in order. Division! (24 hours)

According to law, all parliamentary business is suspended and we have less than a week to hold a special session to elect the president. This is an illegal action.

I have looked at the Constitution and cannot find this. It neither specifies that the presidential vote takes precedence over all other business nor does it state that we must do so immediately-- merely that the special session shall last no longer than a week.

Also, to the honourable member and all members, please introduce notions in the government or private member's bill threads.

Thank you.

I have heard no objection from the floor? How can such be interpreted as failure of the motion?

No statement of support was given. We can try again.
