Well, his views on Muslims are somewhat similar to those of neo-cons. And don't forget; neo-cons came out of anti- Vietnam War liberals in the 1970s.

He's a reformed communist with very hawkish foreign policy views. He says he would overthrow Iraq's new govt somewhere and grudges against Muslims and Islam in general.

No, has absolutely zero hawkish feelings. He just is a bigot and hates any religion other than his own, especially Islam. He is in no way neo-conservative.

He certainly displays neo-con tendencies. He's always advocating overthrowing the governments of Russia and places like Uzbekistan.  Most of the Neo-Con intelligentsia are/were members of Social Democrats USA, a ex-trotskyite group.

How so? Are you going to actually refute my arguments or ridicule them like a 5 year old? Or maybe you just don't know what a neo-con is.

What do you find hilarious?

The fact that former communists are conducting the foreign policy bitchfights on the right?

how many neo-cons can you name who oppose the Iraq War?

Most of the governments I wish to overthrow are in fact allies of the neocons (like Uzbekistan). The primary reason for my dislike of Islam is their extremely backward views on social issues.

Oh yeah, look at the guy in my signature. How do neo-cons feel toward him?

Eisenhower/Dulles/Hoover style Republicans want to take out Chavez, not Neo-Conservatives.

Somewhat off subject, but why must you have a picture of Chavez? That son of a bitch will declare himself dictator when his elected terms run out.

it's just a response to Jake's signature.

How many socially progressive Muslim countries are there?

It's considered "liberal" for a Muslim country to simply not force women to cover their bodies and when they aren't simply treated as property of their husbands! And Muslims in the US and Europe certainly aren't showing to be very liberal either.

I consider BRTD a moderate leftist who is too often mistaken for a far-lefty.  He's an economic socialist, and a foreign policy dove, but he has renounced communism, and he's not actually so extreme on social issues.  Stop hammering the poor guy; maybe he'll stop posting strip club threads.

Ah. I see.
Did you know that India has the second largest Islamic population in the world?

in the sense that I'm talking about, yes.

one with a predominately Muslim population.

Ah. I see.

third actually (Pakistan is #2), although statistics like that can be screwy. For example there are more Muslims in the United States than Mauritania.
