It's important to remember that Webb/Chafee/O'Malley can damage someone else while not necessarily helping themselves. This happened with Dodd and Biden during the 2008 debates.

Chafee mostly, probably. Watch out for the "I voted against Iraq, she didn't!" lines.

O'Malley's getting ready to start using a data-driven debate style.

Last I checked Sanders should be center podium because he's 1 in the polls

Huh? They don't designate podium positions using only polls from New Hampshire.

Anyone think that Chafee, O'Malley, Webb will get any serious speaking time?

Even if they only get half the speaking time that Clinton/Sanders get, it'll be enough to triple their name recognition. (slight exaggeration)

Seriously, with only five candidates in a 2 hour debate, everyone will get a decent share of time, at least compared to how much some of the candidates got in the 10 person GOP debates.  And no one on the GOP primetime stage was starting from a name recognition base nearly as low as that of Chafee or Webb.

That said, not all publicity is good publicity.  Chafee or Webb could launch some kind of attack on Clinton that backfires horribly, and gives them huge unfavorable #s.  But hey, at least that would be more interesting than everyone playing nice.

I think Webb has a good performance tonight. O'Malley and Webb needs to dominate.

Confused by CNN's countdown clock. Does the debate start at 7:30 or 8:00 (Central)?

Yes. He also endorsed Trump. Maybe he just wants to see what they have to say at this debate?

It starts on the hour, but they'll have 30 minutes of pre-debate coverage.

In all honesty, it's basically already started (the pre-debate coverage). Just turn on Anderson.

I'm really disappointed that Biden isn't there.  I really wanted him to run.

Anyway, go Webb!

I wonder if anyone will bring up that

Webb wrote "Women Can't Fight" to argue for no women in the military

Biggest applause for Sanders, but Clinton close behind. Poor Chaffee.
