It would be a shame if Harris ends up losing this seat because the Republicans are too pathetic to field a candidate that can reach the top two. Sad

Harris has better favorables than Sanchez, even slightly better among Republicans.

This is pathetic. If Harris and Sanchez are in the top 2 (which I still doubt, but who knows), how shall we enter the general election polls into the database?

Probably use green or yellow or something to indicate a Sanchez lead.

Republicans will end up getting more than a combined 18% of the vote. In 2012, polling for the open primary showed Republicans getting 23% of the vote; they received 39% on primary day. Whomever is the leading Republican candidate going into the primary (almost certainly Rocky Chavez) will receive at least a plurality of that, meaning Sanchez has to be safely in the mid 20s to be assured of a runoff spot.

Oh, really? Any idea why that is?

CA will never vote for a Republican again. If Trump is the nominee, Democrats will win 64-66% of the vote.

Sanchez has been brutal and sometimes racist against her past Republican opponents. Republicans don't like her.

Atlas Red with the knowledge that whoever wins will be a Democrat. 90% saturation!

...or use the primary result.

Clearly, there are a lot of undecideds on the Republican side. They will get more than 18% of the total vote, and likely a top two position (Chaves, probably).

I don't think we'll have to worry about that. Wink

Shame Chiang isn't running.
