In an election for President of the United States, today, Labor Day, business provocateur Donald Trump narrowly defeats Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Al Gore, in head-to-head matchups, according to nationwide polling conducted by SurveyUSA.

Today it's:

* Trump 45%, Clinton 40%. (There is a 20-point Gender Gap; Trump leads by 18 points among seniors.)
* Trump 44%, Sanders 40%. (Trump leads by 10 among independents and by 6 among moderates.)
* Trump 44%, Biden 42%. (Trump leads by 10 among the best educated; Biden leads by 17 among the least educated.)
* Trump 44%, Gore 41%. (Trump leads by 12 among men and by 18 among voters age 50+.)

Very weird poll....Trump is the only GOP candidate who gets these head to head matchups.

Holy heck!

There is no postgraduate cohort measured here, but still, this is insane.  The race/party numbers look fine, but the education results are weird.

These numbers are not out of ordinary. But, Trump does have a chance. The PPP poll is right; showing a small Clinton lead.

...

OC's reading comprehension skills are a veritable treasure here.

He's probably our next President. Deal with it.

Imagine 538's reaction.  Nate Silver publishes an anti-Trump article every other day it seems.   Every prediction he made about him has been proven wrong.   Tongue

True.  Nonetheless, the fact that this poll even exists says something about the state of the race right now.  Even as a Clinton-is-inevitable hack (though I'm becoming less of one due to this new data), this shows some weakness to her candidacy.
