Both of his wins were in Democratic wave years. Unless there is an unpopular republican as President, he's got quite a battle on his hands. It's Montana, not Virginia or Wisconsin.

What makes Donnelly less endangered? I'm aware he survived 2010, but his opponent was Walorski - not exactly the strongest specimen.

Well, she is basically the Indiana version of Jan Brewer. It's not that she's THAT toxic, but the race would be quite competitive which it shouldn't be because Indiana.

Smart move. It's very unlikely that men will retain the right to vote under Hillary Clinton's presidency, so it's important that she get a head start on consolidating the female vote.

Her strategy won't work against Ann Wagner, Matt Blunt or Peter Kinder.

Donnelly has charted a more moderate path in the Senate than McCaskill and was part of the Blue Dogs while in the House. He also has stayed clear of making incendiary SJW-esque comments unlike McCaskill and is from a state (Indiana) that is probably a little less red than Missouri.

Claire McCaskill is also more vulnerable than Heidi Heitkamp for that reason as well. 

Honestly, I have to agree that I don't see much of a way forward for her other than a Democratic wave or a really poor Republican opponent. I really think that "shut the hell up" comment is probably the last nail in the coffin for her otherwise.

Democrats have a better chance in Indiana than Missouri, by this point. Donnelly is also more moderate than McCaskill, and he's not a bad campaigner either. Both will have tough re-election bids, but I'm guessing McCaskill's will be tougher.

I'd switch Donnelly and Heitkamp.


As for this, I'd gladly support Matt Blunt, Jason Smith, and Ann Wagner.
